Christina Acton

Christina Acton (they/them) grew up in North Vancouver, BC, where they sang with the Vancouver Bach Children’s Choir for 11 years, and completed a Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from Memorial University and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Mount Allison University. Christina is currently the Operations Manager and Secretary for QVE, a private music instructor at Shine Music, the Office Administrator and a Choral Scholar at the Cowan Heights United Church, the Secretary for Shakespeare by the Sea, a board member for the Pourquoi-Pas? Players, and a music teacher with the Courtney Fowler Performance Academy.

Keira Davis

Keira Davis (she/her), originally from Nova Scotia, grew up singing with many different choral groups throughout her life. She has experience with both the Halifax Girls and Youth Honour choirs, as well as Soundtrax and the Dal Chorus in Halifax. She has 3 years of experience as a camp counsellor with the Nova Scotia Choral Federation in Berwick, NS. She is completing her Bachelor of Music in Voice at Memorial University this coming December. She is also a private music teacher with Shine Music in St. John’s, NL. Keira has been a member of QVE since June 2024, when she was invited to perform in the HarbourVOICES! Choral Festival with the choir. She is so happy to continue her involvement in the abundant and thriving choral community in St. John’s!

Nick Leblanc

Nick Leblanc (he/him) is a recent graduate of MUN’s Bachelor of Music program and will be returning to MUN in September for his Masters of Music, studying voice with Dr. Jane Leibel with a focus on performance. In addition to his studies at Memorial, Nick has a deep love of choral music and has performed in choirs for many years. He has sung in the Nova Scotia Youth Choir and the MUN Chamber Choir, and is currently a member of the Quintessential Vocal Ensemble directed by Susan Quinn.

Currently, Nick is enjoying his role as the Assistant Director of the Anchormen Barbershop Chorus, which achieved the top prize at the Sunrise Division Competition in Sydney, NS last May. He has also worked as a counsellor at the Junior Choir Camp in Berwick, NS, where he worked to foster a positive and nurturing environment for young choristers. Nick has a great passion for encouraging young musicians in their pursuit of growth, and he is so excited to continue this work with Solara!
